Momentum and Milestones – March at Robolabs

March was a month of momentum and milestones across the Robolabs community. From hosting our first-ever State Championship at UC Berkeley, to celebrating standout performances at the U.S. CREATE Open, and cheering on our seniors as college acceptances roll in, the impact of our programs continues to grow. With Demo Day and our first VEX AI tournament on the horizon, and an upcoming tuition update to sustain the excellence we strive for, there’s a lot to reflect on—and even more to look forward to.

UC Berkeley Social Media Spotlight

The event also caught the attention of Berkeley’s top academic departments on social media:

• The UC Berkeley College of Engineering highlighted the event and Robolabs co-founder Arya Sasikumar’s leadership.

• The Berkeley Haas Entrepreneurship page featured a recap celebrating the student collaboration and innovation on display.

It’s incredibly exciting to see our work shared and celebrated by the very institutions that continue to shape the future of engineering and entrepreneurship.

Tuition Update - May 2025

Starting May 1, our monthly tuition will be updated from $300 to $350.

This was not an easy decision—but it’s one made with long-term sustainability in mind. Over the past few years, we’ve absorbed rising costs in materials, robotics parts, shipping, rent, and staffing—all of which have increased significantly.

We haven’t raised tuition in several years, and this adjustment allows us to continue delivering the high-quality instruction, mentorship, and hands-on experience that families count on.

We’re committed to investing in our educators, evolving our curriculum, and maintaining the excellence that defines Robolabs. Thank you for your understanding and for being a part of our community.

Save the Date: Robolabs Demo Day 2025 – April 26

Demo Day is back!

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, teams from Dublin, Fremont, and San Jose will face off in an exclusive, end-of-season showdown, showcasing their best designs in one final battle before the new challenge is released.

Unlike any other event, Demo Day is one of the only VEX tournaments in the world that offers cash prizes. It’s a chance to push your engineering limits, compete for real stakes, and connect with fellow Robolabs teams from across the Bay.

Prize Breakdown:

VEX VRC

🏆 Tournament Champions: $1,000 total ($500 per winner)

🥈 Tournament Finalists: $500 total ($250 per winner)
⚙

This one-of-a-kind tournament is always one of the most electric events of the season—we can’t wait to see what you bring to the field.

Robolabs Teams Shine at the U.S. CREATE Open

Just a few days ago, Robolabs students traveled to Council Bluffs, Iowa to compete at the 2025 Create U.S. Open Robotics Tournament, a national-level event featuring top VEX teams from across the country and beyond.

This year, five middle school teams from Dublin, Fremont, and San Jose, along with seven high school teams from Dublin and Fremont, proudly represented RoboLabs on the national stage.

The competition was intense, the learning was nonstop, and the experience was unforgettable. Our teams performed incredibly well, connected with peers from across the country, and brought home new ideas, inspiration, and momentum for the rest of the season.

We’re proud of every student who made the journey and showcased the creativity, determination, and engineering spirit that defines Robolabs.

Robolabs Summer Academy: VEX-AI Summer Program

Step into the future of AI-driven robotics. The Robolabs Summer Academy is designed to give high school students an immersive, hands-on experience at the cutting edge of artificial intelligence and robotics.

Our curriculum builds on R&D insights from the Robolabs VEX AI Team, ensuring students gain industry-relevant skills while staying competitive in high-level robotics tournaments. Many of last year’s Academy students are now thriving on the VEX AI Team—a testament to the program’s impact.

If you’re looking to explore AI and robotics at a deeper level, this is the place to do it.

As the summer program application season heats up, we are seeing strong global demand for the VEX AI Summer Program—a highly sought-after opportunity for students looking to deepen their AI and robotics expertise.

Last summer’s program was a huge success, and this year’s edition is shaping up to be even more competitive. With limited spots available, students are encouraged to apply early to secure their place.

The program covers:
✅
Neural networks and AI-driven decision-making
✅
Computer vision and object detection
✅
Autonomous robotics and real-world applications

For those interested in learning more, we are now offering a detailed program brochure.

Robolabs Student Success – Class of 2025

College decisions are rolling in, and we’re thrilled to celebrate the achievements of our incredible seniors. From robotics competitions to patent programs and online research courses, Robolabs has grown into a powerful launchpad for students with big dreams—and it’s an honor to see those dreams turning into reality.

This year, our students have been accepted into top universities including UC Berkeley, Boston University, Purdue, UPenn, and more. Their journeys have been filled with creativity, perseverance, and a whole lot of hard work.

Among this year’s seniors is Jin, a student coach from our San Jose location, who was accepted into Brown University, joining a long list of Robolabs students headed to top-tier universities.

Whether through hands-on robotics, publishing research papers, filing patents, or preparing college applications with our consulting team, we’ve seen how Robolabs helps shape not just strong applicants—but passionate, purpose-driven individuals.

To all our seniors: congratulations. Your success is our inspiration.
