ROBOTICS & INNOVATION FOR ALL ROBOLABS’ MONTHLY BLOG October 2024 OCTOBER THRILLS & THANKSGIVING PREP October has been an eventful month here at Robolabs! From exciting workshops with industry leaders to our own tournaments and upcoming holiday programs, we’re keeping the momentum strong. In this edition, we’re sharing highlights from our latest events, some exciting opportunities on the horizon, and a few important messages for our community. Let’s dive in! —————————————————————————————————— As we approach the HOLIDAY SEASON, please note our UPCOMING CLOSURES: • Thanksgiving Break: Closed from Thursday, November 28th, through Sunday, December 1st. • Christmas Break: Closed from Tuesday, December 24th, through Wednesday, January 1st. For VIQRC students, make-up classes can be scheduled at your convenience, with no expiration on sessions. V5 students, no need to worry, remember you have up to 12 hours of lab access weekly—plenty of time to work on projects before the holidays! We’ll also post reminders at each Robolabs location entrance. Thank you, and wishing everyone a joyful holiday season! Over 100 children attended, diving into engaging workshops and discovering the wonders of robotics! Did you know? Robolabs offers similar events for corporate partners, bringing K-12 students an inspiring experience in robotics and engineering. Bring Robolabs to my Company Robolabs Tournaments & Teams Success October was packed with tournament excitement at Robolabs Dublin, where we hosted both a VEX IQ and a V5 competition. Our teams had a fantastic month, with several earning qualifications and showcasing strong performances across both events. A big congratulations to all participants and a special thank you to everyone who supported our teams! Our Thanksgiving Camp (Nov 25-27) and Christmas Camp (Dec 23-Jan 10) offer K-12 students a hands-on robotics learning experience across all Robolabs locations. This season, the team is diving into advanced AI techniques, including training their own AI models to detect dynamic objects like moving robots. They are also exploring predictive algorithms to estimate and anticipate the movement of objects on the field. For those interested in gaining hands-on experience with AI object detection, our VEX AI program offers an exciting and highly technical complement to the regular V5 robotics classes.
